Royals on there Yearly Skid

Ok so we are officially in the middle of our annual, check that biannual gruelling skid. This is what seperates the fans from the bandwagoners. Lets hope that tonight the Grinkenator, Zack the Wiffer, or Zack Grienke what ever name you want to call him stops the 6 day bleedings that have gone on. Like any male 6 days of bleeding is never good and normally a lot of emotions are thrown around during the duration of lets call it... idk a "period". Its hard to watch the team why they are on these biannual "Periods" especially when we see them play so well when they are not on these skids.

Lets look at the positives that we can take from this skid though..... Gil Meche's appeal for the inside the park home run to be ruled an error at LA was approved and the official scoring on the play was an error by Jose Guillen and both runs that we scored on the play we unearned. The decision came from a five person pannel appointed by MLB and was unnanimous. Jose Guillen sent in a confession the board saying that he should have caught the ball and after reviewing the tap and watchingt he batter stop at first the board decided it was an obvious error. The ruling was announced before the game yesterday and Gil could once again say that he had not allowed a HR yet this season. That lasted for another 1.3 hours until he gave up an out of the park homerun that I am told will not be appealed. O well 1.3 more hours of fame for Gil.

Detriot during our skid is only 3-3 and since we had a three game lead over the Kitty Cats that puts us still tied for first place. They technically have a better win percentage so they get out right first but who is counting. O by the way the three Detriot loses came at the hands of a Minnisota Twins sweep who now also crowd the top of the AL central standing making it a three way tie.

Tonight is already declared a sell out and tomorrow is approaching that make with the PR from the Royals claiming by gametime it will be sould out. Crowds this entire series are not supposed to dip under 20,000. This will allow us to keep going after players proving that if the product is there i.e. a good baseball team then there are buyers. That means we can go and find another Kyle Farnsworth and not have a problem spending the 9 million for two years, I cant wait.

In all the sarcasm above it is just a vent and I am sure that there is even more other people would like to get off thier chest and you are more than welcome to do so below. I am still a die hard Royals fan and ever the optimist I believe by the end of the weekend we should be in 1st place still and hope that it continues to be close through out the year!
